STAND UP TO BIG OIL'S LIES!

These are various images that I found online of oil rigs along the coastline of Texas and Louisiana in the Gulf Of Mexico. Most of the photos are of the Galveston, Texas area. The photo of the damaged oil rig practically washed up on the shore with the man on the beach is on Dauphin Island, Louisiana. The rig was originally 100 miles offshore, but in 2005 when Hurricane Katrina came through, the rig was uprooted by the storm. This monstorous structure was pushed 100 miles by the storm, spilling vast quantities of oil in to the Gulf! The map shows an overview of all of the current rigs operating in the Gulf of Mexico, from Texas to Alabama. Now, Big Oil, special interests, and the politicians whose pockets are lined with oil money are pushing to have the ban lifted on offshore drilling within 3-10 miles of the coastline in Florida. I will do everything that I can to make sure that this does not happen! I hope that all Floridians will. This is the event that I am attending Saturday to protest offshore drilling.
